Mirjam de Bruijn is an anthropologist whose work has a clearly interdisciplinary character with a preference for contemporary history and cultural studies.

Jelena Prokic

Jelena Prokic is an Assistant Professor at the Leiden University Centre for Digital Humanities. Her research focus is on the use of computational methods in the study of language, with emphasis on quantitative approaches to language variation and change.

Luca Bruls

Luca Bruls is a PhD candidate at the Institute of History and the Leiden University Centre for Digital Humanities (LUCDH).

Bruno Allahissem

Bruno Allahissem is a PhD candidate at the Institute of History and the Leiden University Centre for Digital Humanities (LUCDH).

Matthew Sung

Matthew is a PhD candidate at the Leiden University Centre for Digital Humanities and Leiden University Centre for Linguistics. In the current project, Matthew is a researcher who helps to collect data from social media, as well as performing various analyses on these data, such as network analysis and image processing.

Ruben Edel

Ruben is an MA African Studies student currently conducting research on social media, conflict, youth and political change in Benin. His research project is titled “Social media, Security and Ontological insecurity among Youth in Benin”  (working title). He is currently working as a temporary researcher in the team.
